Eric Rosenfeld - Fund Manager: Eric is a managing partner at Capybara Ventures , an early stage venture capital fund launched in 2004 and focused on growing early-stage technology-based businesses in Oregon. Eric was a research analyst at SRI International, a member of the executive team at Mentor Graphics, a principal owner of Second Story Interactive Studios, and a research fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He serves on the boards of Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (past chair), Catlin Gabel School, Oregon Jewish Community Foundation, and several portfolio companies. Eric received his MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and degrees in Industrial Engineering and American Studies from Stanford University.
Eric Pozzo - Fund Manager: A veteran of several Oregon startups and an experienced angel investor, Eric manages the day-to-day activities of the Oregon Angel Fund. Eric left Intel in the early 1980s to help pioneer the move of instrumentation to the IBM PC as president of Microcosm. He rejoined his key team-mates in 1998 as VP of operations for First Silicon Solutions, acquired by MIPS in 2005. Eric is a long-term volunteer with the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network and served as OEN board chair in 2008. He received his ScB in Biology from Brown University and his MBA from Dartmouth’s Amos Tuck School of Business
Robert Ward - Venture Partner: Bob is also a venture partner at Capybara Ventures . Bob serves as board chair for Acclivity Photonics, a company he founded and ran from 1995 to 2003. He was director of operations at LightPath Technologies, which went public in 1996. Bob advises several portfolio companies, plays a leadership role with the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network, and was the 2008 chair of Angel Oregon. Bob received a BA in Economics and a minor in Physics from Bowdoin College and a Masters in Engineering Management, emphasis on Entrepreneurship, Stanford University.
Shannon Heim - Associate: Shannon joined the Oregon Angel Fund and Capybara Ventures in 2008 and actively participates in evaluating business plans, due diligence, conducting market and competitive research, generating deal flow, as well as fund & financial reporting. She previously worked at R.V. Kuhns & Associates, Inc., an institutional investment consulting firm, in both their Portland and New York offices as their Director of Public Funds and Investment Associate where she was responsible for overseeing the design and quality of all RVK's Public Fund products. Shannon is actively involved with Angel Oregon, Oregon Entrepreneurs Network, and the Portland Angel Network. She received her MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Portland and a B.A. degree in Business Management from Portland State University.
